Certified By The Guide Reviews

(What does this mean?)
These Reviews are from real brides who have used this vendor's services—pulled straight from their Certified by The Guide reference check. We only post reviews that we have collected, so we can feel confident that they are the real deal. Yes, we know. We're control freaks.

“Amy was organized and very professional. She is extremely personable and friendly, not to mention FUN. She offered great suggestions and ideas and always listened to what we wanted. For the day of the wedding I gave her a very long list of shots we wanted taken and she delivered on everything! Both my husband’s parents and mine are divorced, so it was a bit of an issue for formal portraits, etc. but she completely worked around it and made it work.”

“Our wedding album is simply beautiful.”

“My husband is a photographer himself, and he was extremely picky when it came to the photographer. I was very nervous getting ready, but her professional, yet friendly presence helped me stay calm. My family is from Japan, and they don’t speak much English. Amy was great at directing everyone even with the language barrier. My mother just loved her! We have many amazing photos of not only us, but also of our friends and family on that day.”

“Amy is down-to-earth and clearly passionate about photography. I felt she gave us a perfect mix of classic ‘posed’ photos, and candid ‘journalistic’ style photos. She also created a gorgeous ‘magazine-style’ wedding album for us with leather binding from Italy. Everyone who sees our album is truly amazed.”

“My husband is not the type who enjoys ‘posing’ for the camera. Amy’s style really got him to feel comfortable in front of the camera during the big day as well as during our engagement photo session. I truly cherish the pictures that Amy took of us.”

About This Company

Amy is an Instructor of Photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco and has worked as a professional photojournalist for many years. Credits include feature stories for the New York Times, San Jose Mercury News, Contra Costa Times, Tri-Valley Herald, among others.

One fellow professional told us, “On the job, she’s very professional yet keeps it light; thus she makes it look easy! But the work she produces does not come easy. She’s a seasoned, highly talented photographer.” Another concurred, “She exudes an air of excitement and happiness about the event and toward her clients, as well as her fellow vendors and the wedding guests. She is totally professional and ‘on-task’ but with lots of heart.”
