Why We Like This Place

The Waterfront Hotel is situated on the boardwalk in Oakland’s historic Jack London Square, a lively waterfront neighborhood bustling with world-class diversions and attractions. It features five floors of dynamic, playfully appointed guestrooms, a gorgeous restaurant and a super friendly and experienced staff.

There’s nothing stuffy about this venue. The easy and adventuresome spirit of the place is apparent as soon as you walk under the dramatically draped porte-cochère. Mosaic columns sparkle with the colors of sun, sand and sea, introducing the property’s happy-go-lucky vibe. In the main entrance an Italian ceramic-tile floor with the look and feel of wood will make you think you’ve just stepped onto the deck of a gigantic luxury yacht.  The imaginatively decorated rooms have the faded glamour of an elegant island mansion—glittering abalone shells, pearls and all.

There’s a penthouse on the top floor of the hotel with the charm—and the views—of a captivating beachfront hideaway. Hang out here for days…weeks. Time flies when you’re having this kind of fun.
