Set against a sun-drenched backdrop of rolling hills and a wide-open sky, the Sunol Valley Golf Club displays an abundance of beauty and style that discerning brides will love. Outstanding vistas, which blend artful landscaping with the area’s natural rural charm, distinguish the property. It’s as private and pristine as an island paradise—only this island paradise has topnotch amenities and it’s perfectly groomed.
Couples usually exchange vows on a lawn next to the golf course. Graceful palm trees preside over the ceremony, and the palm-dotted fairways spread all the way to the distant hills, making you and your guests feel like you’re in the middle of an oasis.
Afterwards, host a reception in your choice of banquet rooms, all of which convey an easy, country-club elegance. The attractively appointed Coronado Room, with its built-in bar, corner stage and chandeliers, comfortably seats around 220 and boasts one of the largest permanent dance floors in the valley. Sunlight streams in through windowed walls that open onto a deck that looks out over the surrounding hills. Larger parties spill into the Pavilion Room, with more floor-to-ceiling windows, balconies and a breathtaking view of the velvety greens, ponds and palms of the links. This captivating setting also works well for an indoor ceremony, and a private bride’s changing room is provided.
Just outside the Pavilion Room, the Mediterranean Room, with its lobby-like length and appeal, is a welcoming prefunction space and a super spot for guests to mingle and meet over drinks, buffet service or passed hors d’oeuvres.
The Mission Room, though smaller than the Coronado and Pavilion Rooms, has the same clubby feel. Floored in slate and a tasteful taupe-colored carpet, it’s dominated by a handsome granite bar and a spectacular outlook onto the course. The beamed ceiling, illuminated by chandeliers, enhances any nighttime event.
If low-key and lovely is a mood you prefer, the Garden Room downstairs is a cheerful enclave with private patio access, a large dance floor and a built-in bar. And if the golf course beckons, there’s no need to resist. Book a tee time or ask the staff to coordinate a photo shoot out where the grass is perpetually greener.
CEREMONY CAPACITY: Indoors, the club holds up to 500 seated guests. Outdoors, the lawn area holds up to 250 seated guests.

A $1,000–3,000 deposit is required to reserve your date, and the balance is due 14 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $250–1,500 depending on space rented. Meals range $31–41/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
