Set high up in the Saratoga foothills, the historic Mountain Winery offers a unique array of event venues along with spectacular sweeping views of the entire Silicon Valley.
For weddings, the event spaces have been conveniently grouped to enhance the flow of your celebration (and provide a more affordable experience!). However, you also have the option of buying out the property for complete flexibility in choreographing your big day.
If you’d like to host your entire affair outdoors, consider reserving the trio of spaces around the Château Building. Couples who choose this combination have their ceremony on the Vista Deck, which is flanked by gardens and trees and overlooks the South Bay. Cocktails follow nearby on the Redwood Deck, and the reception unfolds on the Château Deck, an expansive slate terrace that enjoys breathtaking panoramic views of Silicon Valley and is backed by the historic, 1905 Paul Masson home.
Those who prefer an indoor reception opt for the three Winery Building venues. Vows are exchanged at the Meadow, a natural grassy area facing the lush foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Then, the newlyweds and their guests take a short walk (or ride!) up the lower path to share some bubbly on the Winery Building’s flagstone deck, while savoring views of the estate vineyards. Dinner is just steps away in the adjoining Grand Hall, where stone walls and fragrant oak casks create an elegantly rustic Old World ambiance.
Other venues, such as the Concert Bowl and Main Plaza, are popular for corporate receptions, team building, and grand Indian weddings. The Winery Building also houses two smaller rooms that work beautifully for rehearsal dinners or as bridal changing suites.
At a place as extraordinary as this one, you’d expect the food to be exceptional, too, and it is. Executive Chef David Sidoti oversees the catering for every event, and will work with you to customize your menu and accommodate any ethnic or dietary needs. Only the freshest seasonal ingredients are used, and dishes may be accompanied by the winery’s own Reserve or Estate wines.
The Mountain Winery’s gorgeous settings, stunning views and superb cuisine will turn any event into something truly special.
CEREMONY CAPACITY: Ceremony sites accommodate 20–220 guests outdoors, and 25–300 indoors.
EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: Seated reception sites accommodate 25–300 indoors depending on the final equipment setup, and standing reception sites accommodate 20–300 indoors and up to 3,000 outdoors.
MEETING CAPACITY: There are 3 different meeting rooms that accommodate 10–250 seated, and multiple outdoor areas that can hold upwards of 2,500 people.
The property rental fee and signed contract are required to secure your date. The property rental fee ranges $1,500–12,000 depending on the sites reserved and the final guest count. The rental fee includes use of the site, setup of in-stock equipment, cleanup and pre-event facility coordination. Some packages may include rehearsal and ceremony coordination. Day-of event coordination services are available for an additional fee. Meals range $35–125/person, plus tax and a 20% service charge.
