Why We Like This Place

Almost daily, Wilson Creek's matriarch, Rosie Wilson, strolls among the flowerbeds and vases in the winery's courtyard, stopping here and there to trim…and tend…and water. Her efforts are just part of the work that has gone into creating grounds so lush that brides and their florists are thrilled: They have only to add the finishing brush strokes to a beautiful—and nearly completed—canvas.

This winery woos you with five distinct and appealing venues—three outside and two indoors. For a large al fresco wedding, tie the knot center stage in the Vineyard View Gazebo, where actors and musicians perform during Wilson Creek's acclaimed series of entertainment events. This spacious pavilion is easily dressed up by draping a garland of flowers or swaths of fabric from its wooden canopy. The aisle can become a thing of beauty, too, strewn with colored petals and lined with flickering candles or luminaries at night. Smaller ceremonies are held at the more petite Wedding Gazebo. Classic in style, its white latticework roof and picket-style railing give it an open, airy look. Or perhaps you desire total privacy and the heady scent of fruit on the vine…. Wilson Creek's third outdoor option, Merlot Mesa, is an oenophile's delight. Set away from the winery in a clearing among rows of tall vines, this spot immerses you in Temecula Valley's ever-growing wine mystique.

The two spaces inside the winery's Event Center epitomize the Mediterranean ideal of an elegant simplicity that both elevates an important occasion and puts its celebrants at ease. In the Champagne Ballroom, you're cosseted by elements that are luxurious, yet understated: wrought-iron chandeliers; Doric columns; soft, dark wood accents; and a warm creamy-yellow color scheme that ties them all together. The intimate Barrel Room nearby is superb for a cocktail reception or rehearsal dinner. Here, you're surrounded by wine barrels, and when dozens of candles are placed on tables and casks, the room is filled with a lovely romantic glow.

Between the two rooms, a dramatic staircase spirals its way up from the foyer. It's easy to understand why couples love posing on it for wedding pictures. Another favorite photo op is a charming white bridge between the courtyard and Wilson Creek's park-like lower garden. There have been many newlywed kisses shared on that sweet little span, some captured by photographers and others simply stolen during a private moment alone.

Nature has blessed this facility with sunny weather and a gorgeous wine country setting. To that the winery has added a full range of services, from an on-site coordinator to help you plan your event to the wine and food you'll be serving. If you like, they'll even print custom labels for your bottles of Wilson Creek wine! With so much to offer, this Tuscan-inspired venue has becomes a standout among wedding sites in the region.

Fees & Deposits

A deposit of $1,000 is required to reserve your date and the balance is due by arranged payment schedule prior to the event. Rental fees are waived if minimum guest counts are met. Wedding packages range $52–200/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
