Why We Like This Place
Between Ventura’s sandy beaches and wooded hillsides lie acres of farmland, where everything from strawberries to snapdragons flourish in the pleasant climate. Such an appealing locale has naturally attracted many golf courses to the area, and the first public course in the county is the San Buenaventura, whose manicured greens, billowing treetops, and small-town friendliness has been courting customers for decades. Sound like a picture-perfect setting for a special event? It is, and the Wedgewood Banquet Center not only ensures your celebration will unfold effortlessly, but they’ll do it all for a reasonable price.
The Banquet Center is perched on a gentle rise overlooking the sweeping fairways and the Ceremony Rose Garden just below. Palm trees encircle a splash of lawn, and star jasmine and rose blossoms adorn the air with their sweet perfume. The bride begins her entrance by descending the stairway that leads from the Center’s Banquet Room, then she glides along the wedding aisle to her groom, who waits in front of an arched wooden pergola. You can add embellishments like tulle and flowers, but with the rolling greens and the pretty landscaping, little else is needed.
The same is true of the Banquet Room itself. Recently Remodeled, it retains sophisticated touches that contribute to a sense of classic comfort and ease. Just inside the room a fireplace blazes its warmth. Guests have a birds-eye view of the golf greens, thanks to windows that run the length of the banquet room. There’s nothing like a serene vista to help folks unwind, except maybe a champagne toast in the Lounge next to the foyer. Here an old-fashioned built-in bar makes your cocktail hour a breeze. Then, when it’s time to dine, guests adjourn to tables set in the central portion of the banquet room. Opposite the windows a raised level boasts a row of dark-green leather booths, where the wedding party is properly displayed.
A built-in dance floor separates diners from a stage area, a prime spot for a formal head table or to showcase the band. However, most of the Wedgewood’s patrons prefer the services of their dynamic DJs, who hold court from a state-of-the-art sound booth, discreetly styled to blend in with the rest of the room. These outgoing songsters expertly MC your reception, and entertain with a customized song list. And here’s the kicker—this service is included as part of your wedding package, along with a choice of wedding invitations, floral centerpieces, and engraved champagne flutes. With a variety of packages to fit most budgets and tastes, the Wedgewood staff seem to have thought of everything (so you won’t have to!). The popular Gold Package, for example, offers extra goodies like personalized cocktail napkins, a deluxe wedding cake selected from a premier local bakery and a wedding night hotel room for the bridal couple. Upgrade to the Millennium Package, and treat your guests to a martini bar, petit fours and a cappuccino bar after dinner!
The Wedgewood Wedding and Banquet Center is clearly user friendly, and the staff truly accommodating…all you have to do is sit back and enjoy the day.

Fees & Deposits
25% of the estimated event total is required to reserve your date. Another 25% is due 90 days prior to the event, and final payment is payable 10 days before the event, along with the final guest count. Wedding packages start at $30/person and include rental fee, bartenders, outside ceremony setup and cleanup. Tax, alcohol and a service charge are additional. Customized packages are also available.
