Why We Like This Place
Billionaire businessman, consummate dealmaker, author, TV star and philanthropist, Donald Trump is the ultimate American success story. It seems that almost everything he touches turns to gold, and Trump National Golf Club is no exception.
The Donald, who happens to be a passionate golfer, took over what was an ailing golf facility and transformed virtually every aspect of it. From the ingeniously expanded and re-contoured fairways to the travertine marble floors in the clubhouse, his personal, extravagant stamp is everywhere.
To have your wedding here is to experience luxury and elegance—Trump style. A long serpentine driveway takes you to this exclusive bluff-top facility, where an impressive classical fountain at the entrance captures your attention. No sooner do you arrive beneath the grand porte-cochère, than a valet whisks your car away and your day at Trump National begins.
If you’re hosting a rehearsal dinner or an intimate reception, Trump’s will seduce you instantly. This room, reminiscent of Trump’s ornate Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, is a study in opulence: The walls and angled ceiling are made up of mirrored panels trimmed in elaborately carved molding, completely overlaid with gleaming 24-carat gold. In the center of the ceiling a lavish chandelier drops from a pale blue trompe l’oeil sky full of whisper-soft clouds. Private dining niches along the back of the room are framed by sumptuous gold swagged drapes, and the lighting throughout is uplit and subtle, perfect for creating a romantic mood in the evening. Along the front, floor-to-ceiling windows treat diners to spectacular fairway and Pacific Ocean vistas.
Café Pacific, the club’s primary restaurant, has an elegantly relaxed appeal. Here, a Country French ambiance prevails, thanks to the vaulted ceiling with its colorful frescoes, the old-fashioned glass-and-metal light fixtures and an enormous hand-carved limestone fireplace. Tall windows running the length of the restaurant showcase stunning views of the Pacific below.
The atmosphere changes once again in the Grand Ballroom, where gilded chairs and six Waterford crystal chandeliers—all hand-polished to a brilliant sparkle—shine against a background of pale taupe and cream walls. A ten-foot-high limestone fireplace presides at one end of the room, and a series of French doors open to the Loggia, a fabulous glass-enclosed balcony that runs along the entire ocean side of the clubhouse. From here the views are glorious, and sliding windows can be opened to the breeze in summer.
The ballroom has a private entrance, and the bride’s dressing room—beautifully designed with arches, glittering chandeliers, comfortable furnishings, an abundance of mirrors and its own patio and rose garden—is only steps away.
Ceremonies are held outdoors on the Vista Terrace, an expansive lawn adjacent to the clubhouse. When vows are exchanged on this lovely aerie, you’re backed by a breathtaking panorama of emerald-green fairways, the endless ocean and technicolor sunsets.
As you would expect, the service and cuisine at Trump National match the inimitable surroundings. Their food is considered some of the best in Los Angeles, and your menu—not to mention the rest of your event—can be fully customized. Trump says that a round of golf will never just be a round of golf at this course. And we’d have to say that a wedding here will never just be a wedding. This place, like the man himself, is larger than life.

Fees & Deposits
A $5,000 deposit is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 15 days prior to the event. There is a $2,000 Ballroom fee and a $3,000 ceremony fee. Meals range
$80–110/person. Tax, alcohol and a 21% service charge are additional.
