Description
It takes practically no time at all for Tierra Rejada to rejuvenate the flagging spirit and lower the blood pressure of anyone beleaguered by city stresses. The road into the ranch follows along a creek, past a majestic stand of eucalyptus and row upon row of walnut trees. By the time you’ve reached the most popular wedding site, the fragrant air and pervasive calm have already begun to smooth your rough edges.
The main celebration spot is in the midst of a walnut grove, whose branches intertwine overhead, forming a dense leafy canopy. A permanent dance floor in a clearing under the trees doubles as a ceremony site, and couples usually say their vows on a small platform with a white lattice backdrop. Tables can be set up on the brick patio surrounding the dance floor, as well as on the adjacent lawn. At night, the starry sky is echoed by a galaxy of twinkling lights in the tree branches above.
In spring, the surrounding hills are covered with the green felt of new grass, and the apricot trees explode in a cloud of white blossoms; later on, oranges, avocados and summer vegetables grow on nearby fields and hillsides. You can have a formal affair here or something much more relaxed, but either way you’ll be smitten by this ranch’s country charm.

Fees & Deposits
For weddings, a $500 nonrefundable security deposit is payable when reservations are confirmed; the balance is due 7 days prior to the event along with a $200 security/cleanup deposit that will be refunded after the event, less any expenses. For 2007, The rental fee for the Walnut Grove starts at $2,000.
For business functions, meetings and other special events, fees vary depending on guest count and day of the week; call for more details.
