Why We Like This Place
Poised on a bluff that looks out to a vast panorama of the Pacific Ocean, the Pierpont Inn has been hosting joyous celebrations since 1910. The Inn has not only earned a place in the Historic Hotels of America, but also in the hearts of generations of Ventura's denizens. Both loyal fans and first-time visitors alike appreciate the Inn's resort-like amenities: a Zagat-rated restaurant; a day spa with salon services; swimming pool; and a concierge happy to arrange outings, such as golf or boat trips. New ownership and recent upgrades have revitalized this favorite landmark, making it a standout choice for your destination wedding.From the moment you arrive at this boutique hotel, you'll be seduced by its tranquil allure. Landscaped paths amble among an ever-changing rainbow of blossoms and the air is spiced with the bracing scent of the sea. Actually, it's easy to wile away hours here, watching seagulls glide over the glistening waves down below. Before you know it, a dramatic sunset has unfolded on the horizon, and stars are speckling the night sky. The Inn's traditional Arts and Crafts architecture is equally inviting, and contributes to a homey, picturesque atmosphere. Yet for all its laid-back charm, the Inn also boasts 10,000 square feet of versatile event space.
Two spectacular areas are available for ceremonies, each with a distinct personality. The first is the Rose Garden, an utterly enchanting hideaway. A gazebo laced with climbing vines crowns a lawn edged with shade trees, statuary and fragrant roses. Next to the garden, a pair of quaint English Tudor cottages are right out of a storybook. Built in 1925, these nostalgic bungalows are just the thing for staging the bridal entrance (and romantic overnights!). The second site is the expansive Oceanview Bluff, where seaside weddings take place on a sweep of manicured grass that overlooks the water.
For cocktail hours and receptions of under 100 guests, the Anacapa-Marine Room and its patios provide a dynamic indoor-outdoor flow. The patios have tropical plants and fountains and also afford a view of the Pacific across the highway. The simple interior includes a built-in bar and can easily be dressed to impress.
Larger receptions are serenely sophisticated in the Pierpont Pavilion, the Inn's latest addition. With its clerestory windows and skylit foyer, the Pavilion has an airy, refreshing ambiance. A high ceiling with wooden beams brings the Pavilion into harmony with the Inn's vintage flavor, yet tasteful, contemporary styling anchors it comfortably in the now. Bridal VIPs often use the Pavilion along with the adjacent Vickers Estate, an upstairs suite of historic rooms lavished with antiques, Spanish-Revival details and a stunning coastal vista. Intimate ceremonies are sometimes held in front of the original hand-painted hearth in the estate's Camulos Room; then family and friends can toast the new couple on an adjoining glass-enclosed terrace. Another specialty accommodation is the Austen Pierpont Suite, with rich wood trim, whirlpool tub, and postcard views.

Fees & Deposits
A $2,000 deposit is required to reserve your date and the balance is due 5 days prior to the event. Meals range $59–89/person. Tax, alcohol and a 21% service charge are additional.

Year-round, daily. Receptions are scheduled in 5-hour time blocks.
