Why We Like This Place
The Sheraton Pasadena, ideally located just blocks from Old Town, has been a magnet for out-of-towners and locals alike for more than 30 years. Gracing one end of a wide, treelined pedestrian plaza, with the new Convention Center on one side and the landmark 1930s Civic Auditorium on the other, the hotel offers almost 12,000 square feet of event and banquet space, including one of the most open, airy and utterly romantic places you could choose for a wedding.The Piazza Ballroom is positively luminous. Natural light filters in through sheer-draped, glass doors topped with fan-shaped glass arches and a dramatic, peaked skylight that runs virtually the length of the room. This gorgeous interior venue actually feels like the courtyard of an elegant hacienda: Spanish tile floors, peach-toned walls and a soaring ceiling give the room a warm and beautiful glow, aided by huge ironwork chandeliers fitted with dozens of glass shades.
While there's ample space to have your ceremony and reception here, the Piazza is actually part of a multilevel private event area that gives you enormous flexibility in creating your dream celebration. For example, a raised mezzanine, set apart by a fancy scrollwork railing, provides another great spot for exchanging vows, making toasts or even placing the head table. But if you really want to expand the festivities, go for all out drama: After cocktails, open the mirrored, arched doors on the mezzanine to reveal Justine's, an elegant dining room with rich, red Moroccan carpeting, tapestries on the wall and antiqued brass-and-crystal chandeliers. While your guests enjoy a beautifully presented sit-down dinner, the Piazza is turned into a dance floor with DJ or band setup on the mezzanine…or, as in one recent African-themed wedding, a stage for a Fire Dancer. Whether it's fire or ice (as in transforming the space into a winter wonderland for another wedding), the event staff will be happy to work with you to make your wedding unique. Want to go beyond a simple waltz as your first dance? They're open to helping you unleash your inner Michelle Kwan by arranging your first dance at the ice skating rink next door.
If, however, you prefer something a bit more terra firma, you can host your entire event outside on the Sheraton's Lacy Plaza. A majestic and historic fig tree spreads its enormous branches at one end, while stone lions stand guard at the other. For smaller gatherings or for rehearsal dinners, there's Soleil, the hotel's restaurant. Done in muted shades of cream and cocoa, it has a cozy private room in the back with a terrace that overlooks the pool.

Fees & Deposits
25% of the total event cost is required to reserve your date. A portion is due 90 days prior to the event and the balance is due 72 hours prior. Meals range $15–75/person. Tax and a 21% service charge are additional.
