Why We Like This Place

Driving along the country roads of Sonoma County, between olive trees and endless vineyards, you’re probably hoping that your destination will feature the usual charm of Wine Country estates: flower-filled tubs, trickling fountains and grape-laden vines. Turn in through the gates of Sbragia Family Vineyards and you’ll find all that, plus something spectacularly unexpected—a two-story-high deck that extends into a “V,” giving couples a dramatic (and photogenic) spot for their ceremony.

This 7,200-square-foot terrace overlooks the lush Dry Creek Valley. The surrounding Zinfandel vines are vibrant green in the spring and summer, turning a shimmering gold in the fall. Getting married here at sunset is particularly beautiful from April to October, when almost every ceremony is held outdoors.

To reach the terrace, guests walk through garden areas via a grand staircase that angles up the hillside from the parking lot. (Anyone not wanting to take the stairs has easy access from a road at the back of the building.) While her family and friends admire the view, the bride and her entourage get ready in a small, changing and waiting room. After the ceremony, everyone moves to the west-facing side of the deck where bars have been set up in tented gazebos.

Couples find a myriad of ways to make the space their own. Tea lights, flowers and twinkle lights can easily be added to create a mood that’s romantic and fun. One October wedding with a harvest theme lined the stairs with pumpkins and candles and hired a band to play Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon.” Then, as the warm breeze wafted the fragrance of newly harvested fields up from the valley and a full moon rose over the winery, the scene became absolutely magical.

This small winery’s staff is focused on customizing each couple’s event. An experienced and certified event planner is available to help you carry out your vision, and incorporate the personalized touches that will make your celebration uniquely your own.

Sbragia Family Vineyards offers a lovely, contemporary and original take on a winery wedding. Everything about the setting is crisp and immaculate, with luxuriant landscaping complementing the glorious views. Tying the knot here is exactly what you imagined getting married in the Wine Country would be like.

CEREMONY & EVENT/RECEPTION CAPACITY: The deck holds up to 120 seated or 350 standing guests.

Fees & Deposits

50% of the facility rental fee is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 60 days prior to the event. The rental fee ranges $3,000–7,500 depending on the season.
