Description
You’re driving in a quiet neighborhood on Santa Rosa’s west side, surrounded by beautiful ranch-style homes, when you turn onto a side street and suddenly snap to attention. There, sitting commandingly atop a small rise, is something you didn’t expect to see: the Santa Rosa Country Club, an imposing building with a sloping green tile roof, creamy white stucco exterior, tall arched windows and a bold porte-cochre with beautiful ornamental lamps.
The interior impresses as well. Throughout there’s a cool, elegant, understated look. Brides especially like the double grand staircase in the tiled lobby: dark-wood banisters and lacy wrought-iron scrollwork give it a regal quality, making you feel as though ascending it will take you someplace special.
That special someplace is an entire upper wing the club has set aside for wedding parties. Just past the second-floor landing, a large anteroom awaits—the perfect place for a guest book table, a buffet or gift staging. Because it has a fireplace, sofas and sitting areas, it’s a very civilized space for mingling before entering the Oak Meadow Room, the club’s main ballroom. The anteroom also has a small terrace where a bar can be set up, and the adjoining Wine Room is handy for entertaining children.
Three sets of double doors lead to the Oak Meadow Room, tastefully decorated with light coffee-colored molding, off-white ceiling beams, and stylish wallpaper in soft yellow and light brown stripes. A fireplace and oak-trimmed bar lend the room a touch of formality. A smaller space, the adjoining Vines Room, has pale yellow walls and a large, bold fireplace. Both rooms have south-facing walls lined with twelve-foot-high picture windows and French doors that open out to a terrace. Here, a rust-red wooden trellis casts beautiful patterns of shade against the club’s cream-colored exterior, creating a Mediterranean feel. The view from the terrace overlooks much of the golf course, including the outdoor ceremony site, about 100 steps away from the club building on a flawless green.
The staff has considerable wedding experience, and they’re very flexible when it comes to choreographing your event: you’ll have a lot of freedom to decide how you want to use the various areas.
Santa Rosa Country Club offers all the cachet and style of a downtown hotel, but its gorgeous golf course adds a peaceful beauty you just can’t find in the city.

Fees & Deposits
A $2,000 deposit is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 4 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $1,500–4,000 depending on the space selected and the day and time of the event. Meals range $46–85/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
Availability
The site is available indoors year-round, daily, 6am–midnight. The outdoor ceremony site is available May–October, weather permitting.
