Quail Lodge Resort and Golf Club

Why We Like This Place

With 850 acres of lush gardens, tree-shaded lakes, rolling meadows and a beautifully designed golf course, Quail Lodge has been a favorite Carmel Valley resort for over 40 years and a premier destination for weddings and other special events.

Located on the sunny side of the Monterey Peninsula in the scenic Carmel Valley, Quail Lodge offers a wonderful selection of indoor and outdoor settings, including several ceremony sites that take advantage of the glorious weather. Sparkling Mallard Lake, with a fountain at both ends, is divided by an arched bridge and embraced by well-groomed lawns and trees. You can say your vows on the bridge, or anywhere around the shore. Extending over the lake is The Covey Deck, an ideal spot for a small ceremony or cocktail reception. Picturesque Quail Meadows is another popular choice for weddings, with its verdant lawns, tree-covered hillsides and peaceful lake. Whether you add a flower-laden bridal arch or let the scenery form the backdrop, this splendid venue will take your breath away. For an extra romantic touch, you can arrange for a horse-drawn carriage to take you to the wedding site.

The main lodge and clubhouse provide a variety of spaces for receptions, parties and dinners. From intimate private rooms to the Peninsula Ballroom, which accommodates up to 180 guests, every venue features large windows or terraces that showcase views of the spectacular natural surroundings.

As you would expect at such a high-caliber resort, dining here is a very pleasurable experience. The Covey, the property’s signature restaurant, is renowned for its California Contemporary cuisine and honored wine list, while Edgar’s on the 19th hole is perfect for a relaxed gathering with family and friends. And fortunately for you, the same gifted culinary team responsible for Quail’s award-winning restaurants also caters every special event.

What gourmet dining does for your palate, The Spa at Quail Lodge does for your body and soul. Brides especially like to visit the Spa before the ceremony to indulge in an orange blossom body scrub, an aromatherapy massage or any number of other soothing treatments. And for those who’d rather unwind with a round of golf, the challenging 18-hole course is one of the few walkable courses on the Monterey Peninsula.

Quail Lodge possesses all the elements for a stellar event, but it’s their professional planners who weave these elements together in a way that matches your vision. Combining attention to detail with creative sparkle, they’ll transform your special occasion into something truly memorable.
