You might not expect a golf course to be a prime wedding spot, but Monterey at Encino seems to surpass most expectations. For one thing, the country club-style facility is located on a bird sanctuary. The landscaped grounds and banquet facilities have recently been remodeled and given a new name, Monterey at Encino. Familiar to longtime Valley denizens as Encino Glen, the property continues to be a local favorite for important celebrations.
With its fresh look and service-oriented management, Monterey at Encino offers several pleasing options for wedding ceremonies. Couples can tie the knot in the central courtyard against the backdrop of colorful flowers and a grand old pine tree, stretching its branches wide as if to embrace the wedding party. Ceremonies are also performed in a gazebo on a lawn bordered by white lattice fencing. Another alternative is the cozy Ballroom Terrace, with its own garden-like atmosphere, that overlooks verdant fairways and manicured greenery.
After the ceremony, friends and family enjoy hors d’oeuvres under the open sky. Then it’s just a few steps to an elegant, Mediterranean-inspired ballroom for dinner and dancing on the oak dance floor, perpetually polished to a high gleam. Beautiful crystal chandeliers lend a high-style ambiance, and swags of sheer white fabric draped from white ceiling beams add a touch of class. Other flourishes include two painted wall murals that evoke the warmth and conviviality of the Italian countryside, and glazed pottery and floral-filled urns that complete the pretty picture. A built-in oak bar in one corner of the room keeps libations flowing.
Cuisine is provided by Monterey Concessions, whose 50 years of food service experience has garnered a list of satisfied customers, including many famous individuals and organizations. Chef Francisco, who has been heading up the kitchen here for years, offers exceptional cuisine that includes a range of traditional favorites, but he specializes in beautifully presented seafood. Choose from one of his prepared menus, or work with him to create custom choices.

Fees & Deposits
A 25% nonrefundable deposit is required to secure your date; the event balance is payable 30 days prior to event date. Breakfasts start at $9.95/person, luncheons at $21.95/person, and dinners at $26.95/person. Alcohol, tax and an 18% service charge are additional. For ceremonies, there is a $450–650 setup charge depending on guest count and ceremony location.
For business functions or meetings, fees vary depending on rooms and/or services selected; call for more specific information.
Availability
Year-round, daily, including holidays. Early morning events 7:30am–10:30am, luncheons 11am–5pm, and dinners 6pm–midnight. All events are allowed a 5-hour block.
