Innovative from the day it opened in 1965, La Costa was the first resort in the U.S. to offer a full-service spa. The celebrities of the day instantly embraced La Costa’s privacy, pampering, and first-class recreation facilities (including championship golf and tennis). Set among 400 rolling acres in the coastal foothills of North San Diego, La Costa continues to gracefully deliver on its sterling reputation. As the headquarters of the Deepak Chopra Center, La Costa has again redefined the resort experience as a serene reflection the Southern California lifestyle. With this latest achievement, La Costa’s world-class hospitality and legendary elegance continues to garner awards. Incorporating natural materials that echo the earthy beauty of the outdoors, La Costa’s California Colonial décor is at its most stunning in the expansive lobby. Exquisite wrought-iron-and-crystal chandeliers hang from high ceilings ribbed with dark beams, and plush furnishings are artfully arranged amid tapestries and antique lamps. The style is so classic, so timeless, that all who enter feel a sense of ease.
That peaceful feeling is enhanced each time you stroll La Costa’s terracotta pathways, accompanied by trickling fountains. Shrubs are abloom with vibrant colors that recall exotic spices and sun-ripened fruit. An almost perfect year-round climate makes La Costa a superb venue for an outdoor ceremony. Most couples exchange vows in the Tennis Courtyard, a swath of manicured lawn with a paved, flower-bordered aisle down the center.
After the ceremony, retire to one of La Costa’s glamorous banquet spaces. Begin with a cocktail hour in the Veranda Room Foyer, where one entire side of floor-to-ceiling windows overlooks the verdant fairways. Opposite, French doors are flanked by ornate burlwood cabinets displaying Remington-esque bronze statues. The doors open into the Veranda Room, decked out with petite versions of the Lobby’s crystal chandeliers. La Costa recently unveiled its Costa del Sol Ballroom—at 18,000 square feet North San Diego County’s largest. Spacious enough for the most lavish affair, the tastefully styled ballroom makes a luxurious canvas for brides to create their own wedding wonderland.
Executive Chef Hans Wiegand oversees the selection and preparation of your menu, which can be as traditional or innovative as you desire. Classic favorites are served up with a California culinary twist, using only the freshest ingredients.

Fees & Deposits
A $2,000 deposit is required to reserve your date. 50% of the estimated event total is due 90 days prior to the event, and the balance is due 10 business days prior to the event. Luncheon packages start at $85/person, dinner packages start at $120/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional. Customized packages and menus are available; call for details. The ceremony site fee starts at $2,800 and varies depending on site chosen.
