Description

The town of Valencia in the heart of the Santa Clarita Valley is one of the fastest-growing neighborhoods of Southern California. Businesses and families alike are relocating here to enjoy an uncrowded, country-like atmosphere just minutes from the bustle of Los Angeles. Valencia city planners are particularly proud of their Town Center, built to resemble the traditional "American Main Street," replete with shops, entertainment and cafés in a fun, safe environment that is pedestrian-friendly. The Town Center’s crowning glory is the Hyatt Valencia, Santa Clarita Valley’s premier hotel and conference center.

Like many of the structures here, the hotel’s architecture is Classic California with a contemporary flair. Yet the interior embodies an eclectic blend of distinctive international touches, such as the Galilea gold limestone from Israel featured in the lobby and corridors, and the Italian ironwork, granite, and stone incorporated throughout the hotel. The decor’s neutral palette is accented with deep crimson and the occasional dark wood, creating a warm, clean look.

Stroll through the hotel lobby—a magnificent rotunda rimmed in columns and capped by a massive gilded cupola—to get to the hotel’s wedding ceremony spot, a long set of gardens facing a lovely tree-lined golf course. Flower-covered trellises divide the Gardens into three distinct event sites. First is the Rose Garden, which can seat up to 300 guests on its lawn for a traditional garden ceremony with a dainty rose bower as a romantic backdrop. Enjoy cocktails in the adjacent Garden Court, a tiled space with a classical feel. A gentle rush of water pours from a large Romanesque fountain at the rear. Opposite is a raised stage which can be used for your wedding ceremony. Here, the bridal party is arranged along the curved steps, which are framed by a pergola decorated to suit. The coziest of the Courtyard areas is the Topiary Garden. Its four trees—one in each corner—extend their lacy branches to embrace manicured shrubs, colorful annuals, and your intimate gathering. You can book the Gardens for ceremony, cocktails and reception, or retire indoors after your ceremony to one of the ballrooms for dinner and dancing.

The ballrooms, which also provide sophisticated settings for corporate special events, are reached through the Garden Foyer and its larger cousin around the corner, the Grand Foyer. These spaces feature original paintings by local artists, and are attractive enough themselves to be used for cocktail service or pre-function gathering.

Up to 400 of your closest friends can enjoy a banquet in the Grand Ballroom, which can be configured in numerous ways depending on your needs. The luxurious decor features dark wood doors and walls covered in broad celadon stripes. Large cut-glass beads dangle from elaborate wrought-iron chandeliers, a dazzling adornment to your celebration. Another reception option is the Valencia Ballroom and Courtyard, also accessible from the Grand Foyer. Textured celadon walls give off a rich satin sheen, and one side features an Oriental panel in a hand-painted floral design. The chandelier in the Valencia is also chinoiserie, and the atmosphere is both elegant and inviting. This ballroom opens to a petite courtyard, so your event can flow outdoors.

The Hyatt Valencia also offers a myriad of conference spaces for business functions. Details like leather armchairs and tasteful furnishings lend a sumptuous air to any meeting. It’s all part of "the Hyatt Touch," which has become synonymous with resort-like luxury and exceptional service.

Fees & Deposits

FEES & DEPOSITS: For weddings, 25% of the estimated event total is the nonrefundable deposit required to reserve your date; 50% is due 90 days prior and the balance is payable 3 days prior to the event. Garden wedding ceremonies range $700–2,000. Several wedding packages are available starting at $88/person. The “personal preference” wedding package includes an hors d’oeuvres reception with a hosted bar, 4-course dinner where guests can choose their own entrée, champagne toast, cake cutting, and garden access for your photos. For the bride and groom it includes changing rooms and an overnight guest room. À la carte meals are also available. Alcohol, tax and a 21% service charge are additional.

Full-service meeting packages start at $80/person, which includes continental breakfast, morning break, lunch and afternoon break.
