Description
With the September 2006 opening of Go Fish, Cindy Pawlcyn is fulfilling her long-held dream of opening a classic West coast fish restaurant complete with a San Francisco-inspired raw bar. To satisfy our hankering for Pacific Rim flavors, she even persuaded Tokyo-trained sushi master Ken Tominaga to give the restaurant a full sushi and sake bar.
She calls her new creation, “Go Fish,” after the children’s card game, a sign we can expect the same casual good times that have become her hallmark.
A reformed Bay Area commuter, Cindy chose a site for Go Fish on South Main Street 10 minutes from her St. Helena home. With partner Sean Knight she commissioned architect Howard Backen to refashion an existing structure as a sleek, roomy kitchen and dining room flanked by a young apple orchard and organic vegetable patch. Famed for designs he created for Robert Redford’s Sundance and Harlan Estate Winery, Backen created his trademark airy, open comfort in the dining room, on the adjacent patio mulberry trees and awnings filter the sunlight. A fireplace takes the edge off the evening chill.

Fees & Deposits
50% of the food and beverage minimum is required to reserve your date. The balance is due at the end of the event. Food and beverage minimums range $2,000-20,000 depending on guest count, date of the event and the space needed. Meals range $38-150/person. Tax, alcohol and a 20% service charge are additional.
