Why We Like This Place
For many couples, nothing says romance like a golf course, and for them there’s David’s Restaurant and Banquet Facilities, two neighboring venues on the Santa Clara Golf Course that share the same beautiful panorama of velvety green fairways.
With its sharply steepled roof, wood-beamed ceiling and huge windows overlooking the greens, the restaurant feels like a cathedral—especially at night by candlelight. During cold weather, the natural stone fireplace makes a beautiful backdrop for an indoor ceremony, but on a sunny day you might prefer to get married outside on the adjacent patio.
Just steps away is David’s Banquet Facility, which has five rooms facing the fairways. Clean and modern, with baffled wood ceilings, stylish chandeliers, wood trim, and large picture windows, the rooms can be opened up into one grand space with a fireplace at either end, or partitioned into smaller spaces for a more intimate event. Stage your ceremony on the grassy landscaped area next to the fairway, or in front of one of the granite-faced fireplaces. A long foyer with a high ceiling provides plenty of room for pre-banquet cocktails.
David’s can arrange any type of affair, from an informal barbecue to an elegant sit-down dinner, with equal ease. They specialize in Continental cuisine, offering a choice of 44 hors d’oeuvres, from petit beef wellington suxelles to sushi. Feast on entrées as elaborate as chicken Voldostano with proscuitto and gruyère cheese, or as simple and delicious as broiled salmon filet. For vegetarians, there is an array of choices, like stuffed red bell pepper and charbroiled polenta with fresh seasonal squash.
Other options include international custom menus and a variety of buffets, from Mexican or Italian-style to the Grand Buffet with a wide selection of hors d’oeuvres, salads, pastas and entrées. Buffet desserts, such as chocolate-dipped strawberries, double lemon cake and mini éclairs, are an irresistible finale to a great meal.
Its golf course location lends David’s an open, breezy, out-in-the-country feeling; yet it’s right in the heart of Silicon Valley, within walking distance to major hotels. Fees & Deposits
A $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your date. The balance is due 7 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $0–1,000 depending on the space, day and time rented. Meals range $30–45/person. Tax, alcohol and an 18% service charge are additional.
