Why We Like This Place

A destination wedding in Fremont? Absolutely! Plan your celebration at City Beach, a unique, 42,000-square-foot indoor/outdoor event and activity center designed to make your function simply out of this world. Founded by four brothers in 1992 this amazing venue serves up an ambiance of fun and adventure unequaled by some of the planet's top resort playgrounds. In the soaring atrium foyer, a huge sunburst on the burnished bronze floor and authentic Hawaiian outrigger canoe high overhead signal your transition into an environment of energy and possibilities. To the left are several large event and activity spaces that you can incorporate into your festivities, or you can skip the games for the moment and direct your guests to the right for recreation of a different kind.

A dreamy corridor featuring South Seas prints takes you past the Pineapple Bar and Pavilion (perfect for bachelor parties or pre- and post-event luncheons and cocktails) and deposits you in the private Palm Court Area, a 5,700-square-foot space with 30-foot ceilings and soft, earthy colors that make it feel both grand and intimate. Real palms set the stage and a combination of skylights and twinkle lights help establish the mood. Enormous double doors lead out to a broad walled patio framed in greenery. It features a fountain, fire pit, and four championship bocce ball courts. The courts, which are separated by a trellised arbor (think wedding arch), can be set up with theatre-style seating for a ceremony. The adjoining garden patio is great for cocktails, passed hors d'oeuvres or dining and dancing al fresco.

Indoors or out, the options are virtually limitless. Hawaiian luau, Tuscan buffet, western barbecue, Bollywood blowout, Asian fusion extravaganza—whatever the event, whatever the theme, the creative and experienced staff at City Beach will enthusiastically treat you to fine food and 5-star service. The kitchen might serve up scrumptious, slow-roasted Kalua Pork, Santa Maria Tri-Tip or tasty Red Curry Coconut Chicken and Basil. From appetizers to desert, the customizable menu is mouthwatering—as exciting and eclectic as the far-flung places it's inspired by. After dinner select from a host of activities. The Entertainment Hub, adjacent to the Palm Court, turns easily into a discotheque. Or why not use the table games to please your sportive guests: Air hockey, anyone? Pocket billiards? Foosball? How about a fast round of ping-pong?

What we really like is that the fun does not have to end here. Local hotels and sights make City Beach an ideal base for your out-of-town visitors' northern California stay, though they might just want to come back as a group to sample a variety of sports courts, rock climbing walls and the Bay Area's only indoor high ropes course. Fees & Deposits

50% of the total event cost is required to reserve your date and the balance is due 8 days prior to the event. Rental fees range $0–13,000 depending on whether the revenue and food & beverage minimums are met. Meals range $32–42/person. Tax, alcohol and an 18% service charge are additional.
