Poised between a wilderness preserve and the Los Padres National Forest, the Ojai Valley is a scenic wonderland where Nature is honored, the body restored, and the spirit takes wing above soaring mountains. Overlooking this modern-day Shangri La from an elevation of 2,500 feet in Upper Ojai is Belle Loréve Hilltop Tuscan Villa & Rustic Garden Retreat, a private estate of soul-stirring beauty.
Belle Loréve’s magnificent ten-acre property is perched on a landscaped plateau above a canyon dotted with citrus and olive groves. With its Mediterranean-inspired architecture and a view that could double as a Tuscan valley, Belle Loréve evokes relaxed, Old World conviviality. The Villa’s butter-colored façade is crowned by a red-tile roof, just like homes in the Italian countryside; but it’s the spectacular gardens that will take your breath away: Slender Italian cypresses mark meandering footpaths, and hand-hewn rocks and sandstone boulders native to the property accent a rainbow of foliage—purple-tipped salvia, silvery stalks of fragrant lavender and fiery red roses that seem especially vivid against the chaparral-cloaked Topa Topa Mountains. From this horticultural treasure trove, several distinct outdoor areas have been crafted with romantic fêtes in mind.
A particularly beguiling choice for ceremonies is the Plum Alee Terrace, an emerald sweep of lawn graced with plum saplings. A triple-tiered fountain splashes at the center, and as you pass by on your way down the wedding aisle, you might not be able to resist trailing your hand in the cool water. The ceremony’s picturesque background is a luxuriant flower garden, wild yet graceful, framed by a mountain silhouette.
Cocktail hours are enchanting at the Pergola, a circle of raised wood decks canopied in wisteria vines, which embraces a lush courtyard. While some guests mingle in the Pergola’s dappled shade, others stroll through one of two rose-covered archways to the garden courtyard a few steps below. As they sip their champagne, water streams from a moss-green ceramic urn surrounded by a pebble mosaic, and a froth of white tree roses delicately embroiders the scene.
Lavish receptions can spread out in the Topa Vista Garden, an expansive grassy meadow that can also be elegantly tented. This stunning aerie is the perfect vantage for savoring Ojai’s famous “pink moment”—that most captivating time when the setting sun casts a deep blush across the horizon, and the Topa Topas take on a rosy glow. And wherever you dine, dance, or share a kiss at Belle Loréve, the glittering panorama of the star-filled heavens is yours to savor.
Belle Loréve has a distinct advantage over other private estates: expert catering by their on-site chef and pâtissier. Using fresh local bounty, he’ll happily create a menu just for you—including an incredible wedding cake! What’s more, some event packages come with a hosted bar and day-of event coordination—which makes things not only easier on you, but on your wallet, too!

Fees & Deposits
A $1,500 deposit is required to reserve your date. The estate rental fee of $3,500 includes: exclusive use of estate gardens on both event day and rehearsal day, two-story guest house for bridal party use on event day, wedding arch, ceremony chairs for 100 guests and ample parking. Inclusive catering and beverage package starts at $65/person and includes hosted bar throughout event, two cocktail receptions with passed hors d’oeuvres, full buffet reception and wedding cake. Tax and an 18% service charge are additional.
