Why We Like This Place

Built at the turn of the century by art patron Judge Lambert Tree, The Tree Studios originally served as workshops to some of Chicago’s greatest artists. Today they serve multiple purposes in the community, and the Ivy Room has become a mecca for fabulous events. Annexed to the city’s famous Moorish-style Medinah Temple, the Ivy Room is an elegant ballroom with a high ceiling and gleaming hardwood floor. Multiple windows bring in abundant natural light and overlook a private ivy-walled courtyard, a lovely spot for an al fresco ceremony or a cocktail reception. The venue’s location is ideal, too—just two blocks from the Magnificent Mile and in close proximity to the Loop, Navy Pier, and Millennium and Grant Parks.

Fees & Deposits

Rental fees range $3,000–$9,000, depending on space rented, time, and day of the week. Overtime is $500/hour. The courtyard may be rented only in conjunction with an indoor space for an additional $500. Alcohol packages must be arranged between the client and their caterer.
