Why We Like This Place
The Patrick C. Haley Mansion is regal, by all means, but with a little touch of something special. This is because it was designed in 1889 by Egyptologist and architect Frank Shaver Allen, who constructed this limestone masterpiece, ornate with stained glass windows, intricately detailed friezes, and Oak, Mahogany, and Cherry woodwork. The overall look recalls an English country home, with its bright conservatory, landscaped garden with waterfalls, and exquisite chandelier-lit ballroom.
