Why We Like This Place

The Murphy is one of Chicago’s architectural jewels. Built in 1926 in the French Renaissance style, its elegant auditorium boasts mahagany floors, gold leaf detailing, elaborate woodwork, and a stunning four-story-high lighted dome. A soaring stained-glass panel behind the stage makes a gorgeous backdrop for a ceremony or reception. If you’re planning a sophisticated, black-tie event, this venue is the perfect choice.
