Just as her company name suggests, hairstylist Robyn Tornabeni’s mission is clear—to give her brides the most glam, sexy hairstyle imaginable for their wedding day. From classic chignons and formal updos, to romantic loose waves and sexy curls, to retro pin-up styles, to clean shapes for the modern bride, her hairstyles are always polished, elegant, and trend setting. With over 15 years of experience, Robyn’s work is of the highest standards and her industry colleagues and brides agree she is truly a hair “artist.”

Robyn Tornabeni Productions will come to your wedding location for the most convenient “glam session” possible. All bridal trial runs with Robyn are done in-salon Wednesday through Friday. Contact Robyn for date availability and pricing.

What 3 words best describe your work? The 3 words that best describe my work are the words I chose to use in the tagline of my business: ROBYN TORNABENI PRODUCTIONS ~ glamorous. sexy. hair. I believe all women want to achieve glamour and sexiness to some degree and I can help them feel that way about themselves through styling their hair.

Tell us about your company name. I chose ROBYN TORNABENI PRODUCTIONS because I feel proud of my family name and wanted to incorporate that into my business name. I also feel that in using my name, I show that I am responsible for all of the work produced. I chose to add the word "productions" because each of my creations is a product of my imagination and talent while incorporating the vision of my client on her big day!

Why should someone hire you? Brides should hire me because I have been a hairdresser for 15 years during which time I have styled hundreds of brides. I am experienced, talented, professional, fun to work with and most importantly, I love what I do and want to create something so beautiful for each and every woman who trusts me with her hair.

What drew you to this field/how did you get started? I was drawn to the beauty industry because I knew I would be good at it and I wanted to work in a field that I had a passion for. I had been styling my friends hair for years and felt a natural inclination towards hairdressing. The natural talent is the starting point. My mother had been an actress/dancer and I grew up watching her do her hair...this truly was my first classroom for beauty.

What are some sources of inspiration or influences on your work? My work is inspired by everything I see. I look at shape, balance, color, texture. I can incorporate all of these things into one hairstyle—the hairdresser's eye is trained to look for these things. Great sources of inspiration are fashion, art, nature, architecture, textiles, etc. Doing hair is a very organic process that just naturally flows and it is a collaboration between client and stylist.

Robyn Tornabeni has been featured in several publications, including Chicago Social Brides, TCW, Brides, Haircut & Style, Towne and Country and the Oribe Stylist Forum. She has been the stylist for the annual Belle Vie Bridal Couture Fashion Shows and the Chicago Vera Wang Bridal Fashion Show, and contributing hairstylist for episodes of TLC’s A Makeover Story and Platinum Weddings.
