When I started Liven It Up, I wanted to have a company that left pretension behind, and made the couples I would work with know that I would not only produce great events, but also create a memorable and enjoyable experience in doing so!
I am a listener. Listening is what has created success for me in both professional and personal life. I listen to my clients and give them what they want. If there are any red flags that I can see, I will let them know, but ultimately, I am the planner who will give a couple the wedding they wish to have!
My grandmother and grandmother were in the wedding business. They owned a jewelry store that specialized in wedding rings as well as a bridal boutique. From there, they transitioned and opened various hospitality facilities where they were able to host weddings. I remember as a kid, sitting with my grandma and her clients, flipping through invitation books and then helping them pick their food menus. You can say that I was born and bred into this industry!
Three things. You need to have patience, work as a team, and know that in the end, it will all be okay!
