A French fashion destination in the Lincoln Park district of Chicago? Mais, oui! Welcome to The Left Bank, a Parisian-inspired bridal boutique that specializes in unique jewelry and romantic wedding accessories. At this utterly charming shop, brides discover a trés chic world adorned with hand-crafted bridal veils, feather fascinators, glittering tiaras, fetching bridal shoes and other irresistible accoutrements. Chicagoland brides, you can also take advantage of The Left Bank’s complimentary custom styling services: a stylist will bring a selection of jewelry, shoes and veils right to your dress fitting.

The proprietress of all this beguiling finery is Susan Jablonski, who’s been variously described to us as “effervescent,” “caring,” and having “an extraordinary sense of style.” Susan’s well-appointed salon reflects her love of all things French, as well as her exquisite taste and vintage sensibilities.

Speaking of vintage: The Left Bank is also the exclusive Illinois retailer of the Fancy New York wedding dress collection. From tea-length dresses straight out of Mad Men to the slinky gowns of screen sirens, Fancy has a fun, retro vibe. With Susan and staff’s expert guidance, a bride could outfit herself from head to toe (or from birdcage veil to kitten heels) all in this delightful showroom.

But don’t let brides have all the fun—Maids and Moms, there’s plenty of sparkle here for you, too! And The Left Bank’s online boutique lets brides from San Diego to Boston and beyond shop the enticing selection, which includes monogrammed attendant gifts.
