Who says a vineyard wedding means you have to use bunches of deep purple grapes to decorate your cake, centerpieces, and bridal bouquets? For a garden wedding, I’d rather take my cues from a tossed salad: crisp greens with tomato and carrot-colored blooms. I’ve been in love with this cabbage leaf centerpiece arrangement from Panacea Event Floral Design since we posted it. It makes me hungry just looking at it!

If you’re dreaming of an outdoor event, Central California brides have some fresh choices in the Paso Robles and Central Coast Wine Country. Enjoy this inspiration board, with photos courtesy of our insanely talented Central California event professionals:

I just love that you are showcasing the Central Valley Wine Country and some of the wonderful Central Coast Vendors as well. For this Southern Cal girl, it is my most treasured get-away spot. You can eat well, drink well, and enjoy such beautiful scenery. What more can you ask for?

It is such a great place for an easy-to-get-to destination wedding!

I love the cake.  The orange flowers are divine.  Orange has come a long way from your grandma’s shag carpeting and Brady Bunch reruns. I love the cake topper as well.

Paso Robles wine country is full of amazing wineries and outdoor wedding locations like Meridian.  The best part is that they are usually half as much as Napa Wineries and twice as beautiful.  Perfect for brides who want their wedding dollars to go further.  And the small town feeling is so nice, your guests will never want to leave.

The AVA regions of Paso Robles and Edna Valley have been catagorized as emerging wine growing areas for years.  One by-product of this phenomenon is that we have seen the construction of some incredible winery wedding venues.  These facilities make for idyllic wedding settings.  Weddings specialists like the Broad Street Event Group have created relationships with many venues and offer a “one stop solution” for couples considering coastal weddings.  All in all, the Central Coast is an extremely enticing option for wedding couple consideration.

The movie “Sideways” may have put it on the map for many people, but insiders have known the Central Coast to be a gorgeous and affordable alternative to Napa Valley for a while:

Lisa, great story! After getting back from a great excursion in Napa, I feel even more blessed to call this area home.  It is such a beautiful, green, and golden brown place to capture some of the most quaint, beautiful weddings with the must stunning nature backdrops!

Wow that setting is beautiful.  Reminds me of the movie “A Walk in the Clouds”.

This month’s BRIDES magazine has a great article on garden weddings.

When you are looking for an outdoor venue for your garden wedding ceremony, find out if tents are permitted, or if there is a building nearby that can accommodate your wedding. Many garden venues will only permit ceremonies, and some do not supply chairs for guests.
