One of the best parts of my job is managing all the reference checks for the wedding professionals who want to be Certified By The Guide. I’ll admit it’s fun putting them through their paces, talking to countless industry folks and tons of brides for each company. Some don’t make the cut, but those who do are absolutely fantastic!
After hearing all the raves about these new wedding vendors, I’m so excited to share them with you. Here are our latest and greatest for the month of November:
- How do you describe your wedding style? Vintage industrial? Natural and recycled? Modern and architectural? If you’re looking for a floral designer who will “get” your style, take a look at Chestnut & Vine.
- The work from Cohn Frankel Photography, which is both gorgeous and full of personality, has been recognized with numerous awards and has been seen in People magazine, The Knot, Today’s Bride, the San Francisco Chronicle—and even on HBO.
- Dia Rao of Dia Rao Photography works entirely in digital in a style that she describes as a blend of photojournalistic and traditional, contemporary and vintage.
- With Kay Wolff of Making Arrangements, her passion for what she does and her commitment to her clients is obvious when you see the richness of her work.
- Sharla of Sharla Flock Designs works with you to cultivate artful & distinctive floral arrangements that reflect your individual taste—whether dramatic, elegant, or more whimsical and earthy.
- The team at Weddings Diablo Style has the ability to jump in and get your event going, no matter where you are in the process or what kind of assistance you need.

- Wildflower Linen offers an extensive collection of unique tabletop linens and chair covers for weddings and special events.
Central California
- Relax & get to know the Broad Street Event Group over appetizers and drinks at their monthly open house.
- CateringUnlimited.com is a full-service catering company: That is, they are prepared to cater just about any type of event (from weddings or bar mitzvahs to film shoots)—with chefs who create customized menus and experienced coordinators to pull it all together.
- It’s hard to put a label on Rich Ferguson.
Yes, he’s an extraordinarily skilled magician, but what he does is a sophisticated form of interactive entertainment: part jaw-dropping sleight-of-hand, part mentalism, part comedy, part improv—it’s much more than a magic show.
- Monique Powers: Airbrush Makeup Artist and Eyebrow Specialist has “a passion for helping women look and feel their absolute best.”
- Often hired by local and national celebrities from the realms of entertainment, sports, and high-ranking professionals, owner/executive producer Justin Ferar of Weddings on Film blends contemporary aesthetics with retro-chic Super 8mm film and elegantly reinvents the old school wedding video.
