I occasionally get to work at actual weddings with some of our fantastic Certified By The Guide event professionals, like floral designer Nancy Liu Chin.
To get you in the wedding mood, here’s a little inspiration from her own blog, Brown Bag:
There’s something cool about hues of sapphire, graphite, taupe, sky, and peridot. Together, this combination is arresting; simple but sophisticated, serene yet relaxed, serious without being overly pretentious. Only the most confident of brides choose such a color palette—and it works!
Add to these colors the crisp blue sky and Ferry Building clock tower in the background, and we’re definitely talking a San Francisco kind of wedding. For this urbane event, there really isn’t a better location in The City than the patio decks at Hotel Vitale. And nothing comes close to the charm of a cable car motif and dainty pastries by I Dream Of Cake. The final touch of a beloved photo tucked into the bridal bouquet captures the essence of what really matters.
These photos by Melinda Li are dynamite. Lighting and drape were done by the fabulous Enhanced Lighting. Furniture was by BluePrint Studios and linens were provided by Wildflower Linens. All the fine detail touches were created by event designer MB Weddings, who also did the coordination. The bridesmaid dress is from Priscilla of Boston.
