Not only am I a Here Comes the Guide staffer, but I also moonlight as a wedding coordinator, and recently took on a VIP client—my sister, Sandra. Our recent mission? To boldly begin the search for “the dress.” First stop was SF’s trendy North Beach neighborhood, home of Glamour Closet, a veritable treasure trove of discount designer samples. “I was a little nervous to try on wedding gowns for the first time,” confesses Sandra, “but Glamour Closet has a personalized atmosphere that’s both comfortable and elegant. Although it was very busy, owner Sandy made me feel like I was the only bride in the shop!” Sandra and I were also impressed with the variety of designers and styles available—at unbeatable prices. “I had no idea that I could actually get a designer gown that is within my budget!” Guess what, girls? You can, too!
