Calling all Southern California brides-to-be: what would you do for a Vera Wang wedding dress priced under $1000? What about a vampy Monique Lhuillier creation or a classic Carolina Herrera? If I’ve piqued your interest, clear your calendar on April 5 and 6.

Glamour Closet, San Francisco’s famous bridal gown outlet is coming to the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel, and they’re bringing the real goods: hundreds of gorgeous sample dresses from the likes of Reem Acra, Amsale, Carolina Herrera, Monique Lhuiller, and yes, Ms. Vera Wang — and no dress will cost over $999. If you’re currently trying to calculate the savings in your head, let me help: that’s up to 80% off the normal price for these works of wedding art.
The usual sample sale rules apply: there are limited sizes, all gowns are sold on a first come, first served basis and there are no dressing rooms (although sales consultants will be milling about). If you go, do yourself a favor and prepare: wear clothes that you can get in and out of easily, and remember to stretch first!
