Anyone who’s seen Slumdog Millionaire should appreciate this. (And those who haven’t seen it yet? Get thee to Netflix.com and add it to your queue immediately!)
Take a look at this wedding dance video:
Am I the only one who secretly wishes she was invited to this wedding? This wedding reception footage—filmed and edited by the super-talented Bob Farnsworth of Video Madness—proves that you don’t have to have even an ounce of Indian heritage to dance like a Bollywood star. It’s also a great example of how a videographer can turn your raw wedding reception footage into something polished and extraordinary.
Judging by this routine alone, I’m going to go out on a limb and say this was just the beginning of a great party. What a cool way to get everyone on the dance floor!

I love the sparkles on the video!
Those sparkles happen when you partake in Bollywood and Bhangra dance. Swear.
I love the dance. The videography and editing, however, leave me cold. The overabundance of sparkles ruins the footage, and the jerky timing of the video is just strange.
That said - this looks like a wonderful bunch of people who know how to celebrate!
Wow ! This video truly redefines the meaning of wedding CELEBRATION. The gorgeous bride must be so proud of her wedding entourage. I’ll be incorporating this into my upcoming wedding in Miami. Totally awesome.
@ Alida: I actually think the videography is pretty skillful/steady (no small feat when you’re dodging guests who are walking in front of you and trying to get a closer look at the dance floor!).
To me, the sparkles make the whole thing look like an Indian music video, but it’s probably not for everyone. I just think they’re fun.

Love this video! The whole wedding party just looks how a wedding party should. They’re happy, celebrating, and just living the moment! I also believe there’s something so perfect about dancing (somewhat) in unison with your wedding crew once the party’s all wrapped up and you’re just having fun.
And no, you don’t need an ounce of heritage to try it! I’ve dabbled in Bollywood and Bhangra dance. I totally recommend it to anyone who just wants to move and be joyous.
