I don’t know about you, but when I pack for traveling, I can never decide which jewelry to take along…and am equally stumped when it comes to how to pack my little treasures. Inevitably, I end up grabbing a handful of mismatched odds and ends, and tossing them into a plastic baggie. Not very cool, I’m afraid.
When I saw the customizable Travel Kit by Tejani, a hot jewelry line out of New York, I instantly thought, “What an elegant solution!” Not only does the kit include some stunning basics that can take you from beach to café to 5-star restaurant with ease… it also comes with its own travel case! (No more tangled mess of bracelets and necklaces!)
The Travel Kit combines five of Tejani’s favorite pieces: 2 sets of earrings, double-hoops with zircon drops, and ravishing 18k gold chandeliers with semi-precious stones; a silver onyx & Austrian crystal pendant necklace; an exotic cuff bracelet in gold or silver; and 4 of Tejani’s signature stacked multi-colored vermeil bangles, available in sizes XS-XL. The travel cases come in bold mango for your tropical getaway; or stay sleek and chic with one in black embossed leather. Either way, you’ll be honeymooning in style.
Tejani also has a breathtaking collection of wedding jewelry, as well as gorgeous, global-inspired pieces that make memorable bridesmaids gifts (or gifts to yourself.) Get inspired by visiting her online store. Free shipping, too!
If you wouldn’t be caught dead wearing something from last season, why would you serve food that was as just as passé as those Ugg boots gathering dust in your closet? As Californians, our desire to stay in vogue is not limited to our wardrobe. Since we come from a state with an abundance of wine, cheese, organic produce and other goodies, we also tend to keep up with the “in” foods—while watching our fashionable figures, of course!
As you map out your rehearsal dinner and wedding reception menus, take a peek at this year’s hottest food trends. After all, you don’t need anything else to compete with your Uncle Sal’s inevitable fashion faux pas.
To get you in the wedding mood, here’s a little inspiration from her own blog, Brown Bag:
This inspiring wedding has just a dash of Parisian influence. Enjoy this very colorful wedding that was photographed by Kevin Chin at the Four Seasons Hotel in San Francisco.
The wedding team was wonderfully put together by the extraordinarily talented wedding coordinator, Jubilee Lau of Jubilee Lau Events. The lighting effects were customized to the client’s style by John Woods at Enhanced Lighting, who continues to amaze me with his ability to go the extra mile. Music was provided by the fabulous Carl Mindling of Reach Carl. Linens and Tabletop decor were provided by Classic Party Rentals, including the wonderful patterned dinner plates and the Black Chameleon chair with a rhinestone bucket. The Custom Thai silk runner was by yours truly. Cake and catering were provided by the Four Seasons Hotel. Furniture and props were courtesy of Blueprint. Last—and certainly the hit of the party—was the fantastic Candy Bar designed by Laura Isom for Nancy Liu Chin Designs!
