Insider Info
Domestic Status: Happily married for 5 years to the cutest nerd there ever was.
Best Advice To Brides: Stop worrying about the wedding details. It’s one day, and it goes by in such a blur you probably won’t even remember most of it. Focus on your marriage, and treat your wedding like what it is: a big celebration.
Favorite Wedding Related Movie: My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Take out the Greeks and substitute a bunch of dancing Arabs and you’ve got my own Eastern Orthodox wedding.
Walked Down The Aisle To: A chanter singing in Arabic. Haunting, but beautiful.
Worst Wedding Moment Witnessed: I saw a bridesmaid pass out at a wedding once. Hot church + hours and hours of standing in heels= DISASTER!
Guilty Pleasure: Lots and lots of chocolate.
Staff Person I Turn To Most Often For Help: Meredith. She calms the voices in my head.
Celebrity I Would Most Like To Have A One-On-One Date With: Matthew McConaughey. Mainly to show him the REAL way to do the Texas Longhorn “Hook Em” hand signal, cuz uh…he’s got it backwards.
Fictional Character I Most Identify With: Remember Sissy Spacek in Carrie? Not her.
Marriage Advice From The Trenches: The day-to-day stuff is the best part of marriage. I love getting a bouquet of flowers as much as the next girl, but when I’m tired and cranky after a long day and my husband shows up with a bag of Thai takeout and a smile…that’s love.
Work Space Décor: Family pictures, a faux tiger cowboy hat, and cardboard cut-outs of fellow staff members’ heads (whatever you’re probably imagining is way more interesting than the reality, so I’ll just leave it at that).
What I Like Most About My Job: I’m very lucky to go to work every day among a whole team of smart, fun women who get me.
