Julia Snippen is what we at Here Comes The Guide like to call a quadruple threat: she’s smart, witty, adorable, and she’s a gifted dancer – we’d totally hate her if we weren’t so busy trying to be just like her. While the rest of us are watching her every move and making covert notes about her daily habits, she’s hard at work helping us meet our press deadlines and giving her invaluable input on everything we do. And because she’s so humble, we get to take most of the credit.

Extracurricular Activities: As a strong believer of the mind/body connection, I try to stay as physically active as possible. I figure if I don’t lose a sense of my physical self, I won’t lose my mind, either. Mens sana in corpore sano.
Guilty Pleasures: Crime dramas and horrible pop music. Do I actually enjoy them or just enjoy making fun of them? I’ll never know, and neither will you.
What Pushes My Panic Button: Driving in Connecticut. Feel free to ask.
Childhood Career Choice (How did that work out?): I don’t think I envisioned myself working. I envisioned myself as a princess. My childhood dream was not fulfilled.
Favorite Way To Wind Down After a Long Day: Breaking a sweat at the gym or in a dance class, or reading a chapter of one of three books I’m trying to get through. On very, very long days, I just need a couple hours with some old friends, and I’m good as new.
Dream Honeymoon/Real Honeymoon: I would go to Paris and stay in the most expensive hotel possible. In this dream, I also would be able to speak French fluently. In real life, I foresee a box of Happy Donuts and a beachside hotel would be fine.
Work Space Décor: Post-Its. I should probably improve upon that some day.
Favorite Culinary Aphrodesiac: If it’s got dark chocolate, it will disappear around me.
What I Like Most About My Job: When Jan triumphantly chants my name. Just kidding. Really, this is the greatest group of women I could ask for. Everyone is fun, compassionate, strong-willed, and very intelligent.
