We recently conducted a Focus Group for our website. One of the themes we kept hearing from the participants was that having an incomplete Vendor Directory was confusing and, frankly, not providing the best user experience. Our vendor directory was only open in a few states across the U.S. so it felt very fragmented. We just felt it wasn't serving our users in the best way possible.

As a company, Here Comes The Guide continuously strives to provide the best experience for our engaged couples, and after careful analysis, we’ve decided that it’s in everyone’s best interest to put the bulk of our energy behind our #1 superpower: Wedding Venues.

Back when our website had a vendor directory, our goal was to represent only the BEST event professionals in the wedding industry. In order to achieve this, we thoroughly screened all of the wedding vendors we listed—and we referred to this process as being Certified By The Guide.

If you run across a vendor who displays a Certified By The Guide badge on their website, it means they have:

• been in business for at least 2 years

• serviced at least 15 weddings

• proper licensing and/or insurance, if applicable

• submitted up to 15 wedding references

• passed our rigorous pre-screening process with flying colors

Being “certified” was, and still is, a big deal! We are so proud of the talented wedding vendors we’ve featured over the years and are grateful for the time spent recommending them.
